Chaac

Chaac has been through a lot in his life. When he was a few hours old, we determined he would need a plasma transfusion as he had been unable to suck from his mother. Plasma transfusion requires a donor male to donate blood which is then spun to draw off the plasma. This is then transfused into a baby which has not received enough immunity from its mother. This is a risky process but essential if babies have not sucked within the first 6 hours. When he was 4 months old, his mother died from sepsis and he required bottle feeding. Luckily he is a gentle boy and was happy to take a bottle. He has a beautiful fleece but the show ring is not keen on small animals so, as predicted, he did not do as well as if he was bigger.
